If you yearn for an adventure, this is where to find one! Climb up to the mountains by foot and on the horseback, drive the jeeps along the dry river bed and get your adrenaline high up with rafting. You don’t have to be certified mountaineer or experienced hiker though some physical training and venturous mind is recommended to keep up with tracks in Tian Shan mountains. Enjoy the beautiful nature and spectacular scenery, live like local nomads in yurts and remember all the tastes of national cuisine.
Highlights: Ala–Kyl lake located 3 500 meters above sea level surrounded by breath taking views of snowy mountain peaks. Category 3-4 rafting on the river Chon-Kemin. Lake Issyk-Kul and relaxing hot springs.

Itinerary
Day 1 – arrival at the Manas airport in Bishkek, transfer to Issyk-Kul area (about 150 km). On the way a stop at Balyktsha market. Arrived to our destination we’ll visit nearby salt lake and have a good night sleep in yurts.
Day 2 – After breakfast we’ll start 20 km long jeep safari along dry river beds to Issyk-Kul lake where we take a brake for swimming. The trip continues to Manzil-Ata sacred springs and to Skazka ridge. At Skazka ridge we’ll have a short 2 hours hike. Dinner and overnight stay in B&B.
Day 3 – In the morning we’ll continue the jeep safari to the biggest waterfall in Kyrgyzstan for a 3-4 hours hike. After the hike we’ll continue to Dzeti-Oguz ridge to visit Saru hot springs and get ready for the next day horse riding. Dinner and overnight stay in yurts.
Day 4 – This is the day for horse riding through woods and creeks to start climbing up to the mountains. We’ll reach the height 2 800 meters and put up a camp. Overnight stay in tents.
Day 5 – Horse riding up to the mountains. After 3-4 hour ride we’ll cross the Telety pass (3 800 m above sea level) offering us a view to Oguz-Basi glacier (5 168 m above sea level). We’ll continue downhill to put up a camp at the height 3 300 m. Overnight stay in tents.
Day 6 – Horse ride continues up to the Karakol ridge and river. We have reached the old mountaineer camp straight beside the waterfall. The altitude is 2 300 m. Overnight stay in tents.
Day 7 – Today we have to say goodbye to our horses and start walking up to Sirota woods at the height of 2 900 m. It is one of the most beautiful places along the way with a great views to the Ay-Tor ridge. We’ll put up the camp to the shore of the river which starts from the Ala-Kyl lake. Overnight stay in tents.
Day 8 – We’ll start to ascend to reach the pearl of Karakol ridge – Ala-Kyl lake (3 500 m above sea level). After a picnic we continue to go further up to 3 800 m to enjoy the view of mountain peaks as high as 5 000 m. We’ll set up the camp at Keldyke ridge and stay overnight in tents.
Day 9 – After breakfast we’ll descend to glade in Altyn-Arashani (Golden springs) canyon. It is the favorite place for tourist famous of its beautiful woods and hot springs. Last overnight stay in tents.
Day 10 – At last we have time to have a rest and enjoy the Altyn-Arshani hot springs. After lunch we’ll walk along the river Arashan to the village of Ak-Syy. Hiking for this adventure is done. The cars are picking us up to drive to Karakol to have a meal and further to the resort town Tšolpan-Ata. Overnight stay in hostel.
Day 11 – 2 hours rafting on Chon-Kemin river. Difficulty level of the rafting is 3-5. No one stays dry! Calypsos and other equipment shall be supplied at site. After rafting we’ll have a transfer back to Bishkek. Overnight stay in hostel.
Day 12 – transfer to Manas airport Bishkek and flight back home.

Extreme Group is skiing, snowboarding and hiking club and does not offer or sell tourist package tours. All the fees (such as flight tickets, visa, insurance, not included fees in adventure price etc) shall be paid by the participants.
Adventure registration fee is 540 Eur, remaining 450 Eur must be paid at Kyrgyzstan on arrival.

Additional information: All adventure participants must have valid travel insurance covering the accident and medical aid cases. Hiking equipment such as proper boots, warm and water resistant clothing, raincoat, sunglasses, sleeping bag, tent, back bag, hiking stove and dishes must be bought along by participants. All the food not included in adventure price shall be purchased from local market, the drinking water supplies come from springs along the way.
